Frequently Asked Questions
Your doctor provides medical care, prescriptions, and your health plan. They are the architect. I don’t diagnose, treat, or prescribe. My role is to help you put your health plan into place, make it sustainable, keep you on track, help organize your treatment responses for your doctor, and guide you in all the areas mentioned above. For any medical questions, symptoms, or medication changes, your doctor remains your go-to.
1
Do you replace my Doctor?
Is this covered by insurance or HSA/FSA eligable?
2
Health coaching usually isn’t covered by insurance, though some plans and employer wellness programs do cover it, so it’s worth asking your insurer. HSA/FSA eligibility depends on your situation: coaching for general wellness typically doesn’t qualify, but it may if your doctor provides a Letter of Medical Necessity stating it’s needed to treat a diagnosed condition.
Check with your plan administrator, and I am happy to provide you with receipts for your sessions and many find that their insurance is willing to reimburse those fees.
I meet virtually, through Zoom, and am currently providing services to clients in 9 different countries! I do provide in-home concierge coaching, and if that’s of interested, please reach out on my contact page.
3
Do you meet in-person or virtually?
Most clients meet weekly to start, or every other week, often tapering to monthly as habits become more automatic. I offer 15-minute sessions for when support is needed in between sessions.
4
How often do we meet?
How long do people usually work with you?
5
Most clients work with me for [3–6 months]. That’s typically enough time to build new habits and see them hold up through real life, like busy weeks, travel, and setbacks. Some clients come for a shorter, focused stretch, and others continue longer for ongoing support to ensure they maintain their health. We’ll check in periodically on whether coaching is still serving you.
Results depend on your goals and how actively you engage between sessions. Clients commonly report more energy, better sleep, steadier eating habits, better bowel movements, less pain, less gas and bloating, and more confidence managing their health. I can’t guarantee specific outcomes, but I’ll help you track progress so you can see what’s working.
6
What results can I expect?
Can you help with a specific condition like diabetes, high blood pressure, GERD, or weight management?
7
Yes. I often work with people managing chronic conditions. I focus on implementing natural tools, your lifestyle, such as nutrition habits, movement, sleep, stress, and consistency, within the plan your healthcare team has set. If something comes up that’s outside my scope, I’ll encourage you to check in with your provider.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
8
When you book a session, that time is reserved just for you. It isn't double-booked or offered to anyone else, and it's set aside with care so I can be fully present for you. Because of this, I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. You can do so via the button in your confirmation email. Missed appointments and cancellations made with less notice cannot be refunded.
This policy exists so I can honor the time held for each client and keep my practice sustainable, and at an accessible cost to others. With enough notice, I can often offer that time to someone else who's waiting.
I understand that life happens, and I'm always glad to talk things through. Thank you for helping me protect the time we share.
